In the underlying master thesis, A2B corroles were synthesized, characterized and further functionalized via Sonogashira cross-coupling reaction. As a precursor, 5, 15- pentafluorophenyl-10-trimethylsilylethynyl-corrole was prepared and the subsequent cross-coupling reaction was successful, employing iodobenzene under ambient conditions with a common catalyst system. This novel reaction strategy allows the preparation of functionalized A2B-corroles with an extended -electron system. Moreover, with the new 5, 15-pentafluorophenyl-10-trimethylsilylethynyl-corrole precursor further functionalization reactions might be possible in future (e.g. enyne-metathesis, click-reaction, and radical polymerization).
