Abstract (English)

The importance of online shopping is increasing steadily, therefore the role of the delivery from the online retailer to the customer is growing even faster. For this reason, this thesis examines future requirements for more efficiency in the X2C sector. Furthermore, this last mile in logistics is often responsible for 75 per cent of the whole delivery costs. Nevertheless, most courier service companies deliver customers blind and often miss the customer. In consequence, a study to examine how people are interested in the concept of bundling deliveries was conducted. This concept would enable the customer to determine the delivery time exactly and store deliveries at the service company to have only one single delivery.
